Everything We Know (So Far) About Amazon Prime Day 2024

Prepare your wallets and get ready to sign up for that free Amazon Prime trial membership: An Amazon press release has officially revealed that Prime Day 2024 will occur this July 16-17. Amazon's biggest sale of the year (and arguably the biggest sale of any retailer) will soon be underway, and we'll help you parse out which are the best deals available—and the ones you should steer clear of.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is a 48-hour sale, offering discounts on the Amazon website in virtually every category. It began in 2015 as a one-day event to celebrate Amazon's 20th anniversary, but it has grown exponentially since then, and now qualifies as a major shopping event, with other retailers spinning up their own sales to capitalize on the hype.

Of course, calling it "Prime Day" is a bit of a misnomer. In recent years, Amazon has also released "early Prime Day" deals that can last up to a week or two, and there's another "Prime Day"-like sale in the fall, officially called Prime Big Deal Days (though the deals usually aren't quite as impressive).

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

Amazon has officially announced the dates of Prime Day 2024 to be on July 16 and 17 in their official press release. Keep in mind that Amazon is already releasing "early" deals that will lead up to the two-day event.

What you can expect on Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day always comes with surprise deals, but there are usually sales across a wide variety of products. To get an idea, you can see our 20 favorite deals from Prime Day 2023. While you might not find all of these same deals, you are very likely to find similar ones this summer. Amazon products like Fire TVs, tablets, smart speakers, and security cameras will hit new low prices or match their lowest prices from previous sales. Some products that Amazon says will be at their lowest price include Ring Battery Doorbell Plus, Blink Outdoor 4 multi-packs, Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen), Kindle Scribe, and eero Max 7 mesh wifi systems.

Some brands that Amazon officially announced will be part of Prime Day are Clinique, Allbirds, Kiehl’s, Sony, KitchenAid, Coach handbags, Dyson Beauty, Peloton, Youth to the People, New Balance, HP, Jansport, PlayDoh, Nordic Track, Poppi Prebiotic Sodas, and Hatch. As far as categories, Amazon has said to expect deals on electronics, kitchen, beauty, and apparel, with new deals sometimes dropping as often as every 5 minutes. They also mentioned they will have 40% off Sony Wireless Headphones and up to 30% off Peloton as invite-only deals.

Can you shop on Prime Day without being a Prime member?

You don't need to be a Prime Member to shop on Prime Day, but most of the best deals are for Prime Members only. If you aren't a member, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial, which is definitely enough to cover the whole event. However, not everyone will be eligible for these trials, so be sure to read the terms.

What is special about Prime Day?

As a shopping writer, I can tell you that most of the lowest prices I have seen, whether for a tablet, a TV, or an appliance, hit on Prime Day (at least according to price-checking tools). The breadth of products on sale is also much greater than at other points throughout the year. But that doesn't mean all of the deals are great—you'll still have to do your due diligence to make sure the deal you're looking at is legit.

Is Amazon Prime worth it?

While it probably doesn't make sense to become a Prime member only to score Prime Day discounts, there are a lot of other benefits to subscribing. In any case, if you're shopping for Prime Day, make sure you come out a winner and go in with a plan.

Are other companies also doing deals during Prime Day?

Yes. While Prime Day is solely an Amazon deal, it also gets competition from the likes of Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers. Walmart announced the dates for its "Prime Day" deals this summer (called Walmart Week), taking place from July 8 to July 11. The deals are for Walmart+ members, which, like Amazon Prime, is not free. However, you can get a free 30-day trial; otherwise it'll be $98 a year.

This post will be updated with all the latest information about Prime Day 2024 as it is released.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: This Blink Video Camera Bundle

I've been covering Blink deals on Amazon for some time now, and have seen some good bundle deals before, but none compare to this one.

Right now, you can get a Blink Video Doorbell ($59.99 when bought by itself), a Blink Outdoor 4 camera ($99.99 purchased separately), and a Sync Module 2 ($49.99 purchased separately) for $59.99 with this Blink bundle. This is the lowest price the package deal has reached—by a long shot—according to price-checking tools.

You can also expand your coverage by adding two or three Blink Outdoor 4 cameras and still get a very good discount. This sale is part of Amazon's official early Prime Day deals, according to its press release, which also served as the official announcement that Prime Day 2024 will take place July 16-17.

This bundle has all the basics you need to set up your Blink security system. The Blink Video Doorbell has two-way audio so that you can communicate with guests from your phone, 1080p resolution, and infrared night vision. The Blink Outdoor 4 is the latest Blink outdoor camera and a great budget option that competes well with other outdoor cameras. The Sync Module 2 lets you use local storage for your video files instead of paying for cloud storage.

Note that you will need a Blink subscription to use all of this bundle's features. The Blink subscription plan starts at $30 a year for Blink Basic. For $100/year, you can get Blink Plus, which offers more features, including support for an unlimited number of devices.

Woot Is Selling New, Unlocked iPhone 15s for $150 Off

There's not much to say about the iPhone 15 that hasn't already been said. It's part of Apple's latest lineup of new iPhones, which came out last September, and it's an excellent device that the company is happy to charge a premium for. Usually to get a deal on a new iPhone, you need to sign up for an offer from your cell carrier, but right now, you can get one for up to $149 off—the biggest discount yet for new unlocked versions from a reputable store, according to price-checking tools.

Woot is selling the 128GB model of the iPhone 15 for $679.99 ($829 direct from Apple) and the 256GB version for $799.99 ($929 from Apple). Remember, Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous states in the U.S. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping; otherwise, it’ll be $6.

The deal is live until Wednesday, June 26, at 1 a.m. ET, but the stock will likely run out before the sale ends. You can get a maximum of three devices per Woot account. Keep in mind that although these phones are new, in the sense that they have never been used or activated, they will not come in their original packaging—Woot says they'll come in a "sleek custom black box" instead. Woot also offers a 1 Year Vendor Warranty, but since you're not getting them from Apple, they are not AppleCare eligible.

The Apple Store still sells both of these phones at full price, so you'd be getting a pretty sweet deal on a new iPhone. The iPhone 15 is an "excellent" phone, according to PCMag's review, offering some minor improvements to the iPhone 14, mostly in the form of hardware that you might not notice (check out a comparison here).

Remember, if you are intrigued by this discount, you'll want to buy sooner rather than later. These kinds of Woot deals don't usually last very long.

The ‘Walmart Deals’ Sale Is Walmart’s Answer to Prime Day

Walmart had its "Walmart+ Week" sale last week, which was hyped up to be something special. It wasn't. None of its deals were remarkable nor memorable. However, in what seems like a shot at redemption, Walmart is prepping to launch another sale, Walmart Deals, before Prime Day in mid-July. (July 16 and 17, specifically, if the dates TechRadar says Amazon leaked are to be believed.)

When does Walmart Deals start?

Walmart Deals kicks off on Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. ET and runs through Thursday, July 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET. If you are a Walmart+ member, you'll get early access to the sales beginning at noon Eastern time — five hours before the general public. You can sign up for a free 30-day Walmart+ subscription or get the annual plan for $98 ($8.17/month).

What you can expect from Walmart Deals

Walmart says its sale will include many different categories, including deals on electronics, home, toys, travel, back-to-school materials, and many other categories. The sale will be on Walmart.com and the Walmart app. Here are some deals Walmart says will be available:

You can choose between in-store pickup and different delivery options, including early-morning delivery, late-night express delivery and next- and two-day shipping.

These Robot Vacuums Are up to 50% Off Right Now

Like probably many people reading this, my first robot vacuum was a Roomba. It was great for its time, but if you've been paying attention, other companies have been improving their technology while iRobot seems to be stagnant. Shark, Yeedi, and Roborock are some of the better robot vacuum brands out there, and they're currently very well priced. If you're looking to improve your current robot vacuum, consider one of these.

The Shark AI is 50% off

The Shark AI has some good features for its $299.99 sale price (originally $599), like smart mapping and a self-emptying base that can hold 60 days worth of debris. It is bagless, so there's no need to spend on bags every time you empty the debris, and it avoids obstacles with LiDAR technology. The main concern is that Shark doesn’t disclose the device's suction power, which could be a tactic to hide underwhelming specs.

The Roborock Q7 Max+ Robot Vacuum and Mop combo is 47% off

If you're looking for a vacuum and mop combo, the Roborock Q7 Max+ for $459.99 (originally $869.99) is a great option. The mopping is not high-tier, though, since it only uses a single brush—if that's important to you, the higher-tier Roborock S8 will. However, it will clean surface-level stains without a problem.

Like the Shark, the Q7 Max+ also has a LiDAR system that it uses to map out your home. You can designate no-mop areasto avoid getting rugs wet, for example. If there are objects in the way, it will remember them and can maneuver around them to avoid accidents. The dock station can hold up to seven weeks of debris with its 2.5-liter bags. The suction power is decent for its current price, at 4,200 pascals. Just keep in mind you will be making purchases on the mop pads as you use them up, as well as the bags on the self-emptying dock.

The Yeedi C12 PRO Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop is $230 off

The Yeedi C12 PRO Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop combo might not have the impressive discounts the other two vacuums have, but it's still arguably a better value for your money. After using the $130 on-page coupon, you can get the Yeedi C12 PRO Plus for $369.99 (originally $599). This vacuum has a self-emptying dust bin that can last up to seven weeks before needing to empty it; the most suction power with 8,000 pascals; a mop pad that scrubs the floor 480 times per minute; smart mapping of your home; the ability to set schedules; boosted suction on carpet; anti-tangle technology on the roller; and up to five-hour battery capacity. You won't be spending money on dust bags or mop pads, since these ones are reusable.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: This LG UltraGear Curved Gaming Monitor

When LG released the 45GR95QE UltraGear OLED gaming monitor in early 2023, it served as a statement that the company was serious about competing in the space. But at $1,699.99, it was also very expensive. A year and change later, however, that same impressive monitor can be had for $999.99, the lowest price it has reached since its release, according to price-tracking tools.

The standard monitor size is 25 inches, so it might be hard to imagine how massive a 45-inch curved monitor is. It's basically like sitting a few feet away from a decent-sized flatscreen TV. With an 800-mm-radius curve, the monitor wraps around your peripheral vision, giving gamers the immersive experience they are looking for (provided they've a desk big enough to hold it.)

This 45-inch OLED screen has a 3440 by 1440 resolution (not quite 4K, but close); 200 nits of brightness, which is on the low size, but typical for OLED screens; a ridiculous 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, making picture quality in dark scenes look great; a 240 Hz refresh rate; and AMD FreeSync Premium for smoother gameplay. As far as ports go, you've got a DisplayPort, an HDMI port, and two USB ports.

The stand can tilt and swivel, but you can't adjust the height or pivot it to portrait mode. Keep in mind that this is a 35-pound monitor, and like all OLEDs, it runs the risk of burn-in from static images if you're not careful. According to PCMag's "excellent" review, the monitor comes with a remote control that you will need to access most of the settings (so don't lose it).

While it's still pricey, $700 is a big enough discount to make this a great buy for a hardcore gamer willing to drop a chunk of cash on a killer display.

The Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro Are on Sale for Their Lowest Prices Ever

If you're looking to upgrade to a new Pixel Pro phone, it's not a bad time. Currently, both the Google Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro are available at their lowest prices yet for unlocked devices, per price-tracking tools. The 256 GB Pixel 7 Pro is $435 on Amazon, while the 128 GB Pixel 8 Pro is $649 at Best Buy.

Google Pixel 7 Pro

If you're looking for a reliable phone with a great camera, long battery life, powerful software tools, and a nice screen, the Google Pixel 7 Pro ticks all of your boxes. The 7 Pro came out in October 2022, and our friends at PCMag named it the best Android phone on the market in their "excellent" review. Back in May, Woot sold the 256GB version for $439.99, which was even cheaper than holiday deals from 2023, and the current price is $5 below that.

Google Pixel 8 Pro

If you're looking for the latest Pixel with a more powerful CPU, higher screen resolution, slightly better resolution rear camera, and the latest AI features, spring for the Pixel 8 Pro. The extra $214 gets you the Google Tensor G3 CPU with AI capabilities, letting you take advantages of a range of features unique to the Pixel 8 Pro, like AI-powered photo edits, magic eraser, instant summaries, and more. (Check out PCMag's "excellent" review if you'd like to learn more.)

Regardless of which phone you choose, you'll be getting great value for your money and a great phone that will last many years. As Google continues to offer even older Pixels security fixes and quarterly feature updates (including, recently, the new "circle to search" capability), your Pixel will remain relevant for years to come.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Razer Edge Gaming Tablet

Ever since the release of the Nintendo Switch, it seems that portable gaming devices have been making a comeback (to say nothing of gaming on your phone). The Razer Edge is one of them—a handheld device geared to Android users and Xbox players—and the wifi version of the tablet is currently $249.99 at Amazon after a $150 discount. (According to price-checking tools, this matches the lowest price it has ever reached.)

The Razer Edge came out in early 2023 to provide Android-based gaming on the go. According to PCMag's "excellent" review, it is a powerful streaming handheld console that lets you play games from a cloud while using familiar physical buttons and joysticks or with just one hand, like a phone.

This is the Wi-Fi version of the Razer Edge, so you won't be able to play cloud games or stream games into it unless you're connected to wifi, but you can run games locally via the 128GB of storage (plus a micro SD card tray for extra storage). If you download the Steam Link app, you'll be able to stream PC games as long as you're near your computer.

The system runs on Android 12 and has a 6.8-inch OLED touchscreen with a 2,880 by 1,080 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The CPU is a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x, and depending on your settings, you can get close to 11 hours of playtime off of a full charge.

The Razer Edge uses the same screen as the Razer Kishi V2, with some additional features. The controller is the Razer Kishi V2 Pro; you can play games using the touchscreen or with the controller (or both).

How to Watch Euro 2024 for Free Using a VPN

EURO 2024 is underway, with some titans clashing this week. You can watch all of the matches of the UEFA tournament if you have the right broadcast or streaming subscriptions. If you don't, fret not. There are still ways to watch all of the European soccer games for free—you just have to pay for a VPN service. If you're a soccer fan, make sure also to catch all of the Copa America matches happening at the same time as the EURO 2024.

What is EURO 2024?

The UEFA EURO 2024 is an international soccer tournament that happens every four years. This year the tournament is held in Germany. The 2022 champions, Italy, will try to hold their position against another 23 European men's national teams.

The tournament starts with group stages, then it will go into the round of 16 from June 29 to July 2, followed by the quarterfinals on July 5 and 6, the semifinal matches on July 9 and 10, and the Euro 2024 final will be played on July 14.

How to watch Euro 2024 for free

Many parts of the world, mainly in Europe, stream the games for free on certain websites. But unless you live there, you'll have geo-restrictions from watching the matches. Here are some free streaming platforms that are covering EURO 2024, according to Mashable:

The broadcasts will be in the language of each respective country, so if you're looking for coverage in English, try the UK ones. ITVX, in particular, was easy to navigate and stream the match. All you need to do is register with an email, choose any UK postal code, and start streaming. Of course, you'll be geo-restricted from watching the game since you're not in the UK, but that's where using a VPN comes in handy.

Express VPN is our favorite VPN for bypassing geo-blocking restrictions. It will run you $12.95 per month, $9.99 per month for six months, or they also offer an annual plan for $8.32. You can see our comparison of ExpressVPN with NordVPN (another top VPN provider) here. Once you have ExpressVPN, open the app and connect to the server from the UK, open ITVX on the same device, and you'll be able to watch the EURO matches for free.

How to Livestream Copa América 2024

The streets of downtown Atlanta were among the first to get a taste of what Copa América is bringing to the United States starting at 8 p.m. Eastern: passionate soccer fans from all over South America representing their nations in a massive tournament. If you're not lucky enough to experience the action in person, you can still catch all of the matches live from the comfort of your home.

How to watch Copa America matches

The Copa América matches are in the evening as opposed to EURO 2024's morning and early afternoon games. Like the EURO 2024 matches, they'll be aired in English through on Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1. Univision has the rights to the Spanish broadcast of Copa América, so you can catch those matches on TUDN, Univision, and TelevisaUnivision (UniMás). If you're looking to stream the matches, you can catch them on FuboTV, Sling TV, TUDN, ViX, and DirecTV Stream.

The only streaming subscription that includes all of the Copa América matches is DirecTV Stream, which is $79.99 per month. The Fubo Pro subscription is $79.99 per month and gets you access to all of the relevant Fox channels. If you only want to watch some games, you can get a seven-day free trial. Sling Blue will run you $40 per month, and you can stream on three screens simultaneously. Vix Premium with ads starts at $4.99 per month and can also stream on three screens simultaneously; just be aware the matches will be narrated in Spanish.

The Copa América 2024 match schedule

Here are all of the games for Copa América 2024, as well as where you can stream or broadcast each match. The group stage will be from June 20 to July 2, quarterfinals from July 4 to 6, semifinals on July 9 and 10, the third-place match on July 13, and the final on July 14.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Google Nest Mesh WiFi Router

It pains me when friends or family tell me about their internet issues, and I discover they’re still using the generic router/modem box their internet provider gave them—usually at a monthly rental cost and with no mesh networking capabilities.

If you live in a small, one-floor home, you might not need a fancy wifi setup, especially if you always have a strong signal. But if you have more than one floor, a garage that is far from your router, or you just get spotty wifi in certain areas, a mesh system (like this Google Nest Wifi router, plus a few extra wifi nodes) can solve that for you. Right now, the router is discounted to $39 on Amazon (originally $169), its lowest price ever according to price-checking tools.

The Google Nest Wifi came out in 2019, and doesn’t offer wifi 6 compatability. But wifi 6 is overkill for most people, if they even have the compatible router necessary to use it. The Google Nest Wifi router needs to connect to your existing internet provider’s modem with an ethernet cable, and it will expand your coverage to 2,200 square feet. It can handle up to 200 connected devices and reach a maximum data rate of 400Mbps on a 2.4GHz band and 1,733Mbps on a 5GHz band, according to PCMag's "excellent" review.

The magic of a mesh network comes when you add nodes (or points, as Google calls them). As opposed to regular wifi extenders, nodes don't merely amplify the signal from your router (cutting speed in half in the bargain); they are essentially their own independent router emitting the full bandwidth of the primary router. Right now, you can also get a much better deal buying the router along with two points for $151.99 (down from originally $349) rather than buying the router and points separately.

The Best EURO 2024 Matches to Watch This Week (and Where to Stream Them)

The first round of the EURO 2024 group stages is done. There weren't many surprising results, with the best teams in their respective group stages taking all three points (with the exception of Belgium's loss over Slovakia). However, things are now getting interesting, with the second phase of the group stages set to start on Wednesday, June 19. Plenty of action remains for this week, with arguably the best matches yet to be played. Here are the best matches still to come this week, which you can stream right at home or from your phone.

Spain vs. Italy

On Thursday, June 20, the leaders of group B will go head-to-head at 3 p.m. ET. Luis de la Fuente's Spain beat Croatia with an impressive 3-0 win, setting themselves as one of the strongest competitors early in the tournament. Luciano Spaletti's Italy also beat their opponents, Albania, in a physical 2-1 match. This match promises to be a very technical and tactical one, and one to not miss. The winners will likely end up first in their group, so both nations will be hoping to go all out. You can watch this match on Fox, Fubo TV, ViX, and Vix Premium Deportes 1.

Netherlands vs. France

This Friday, June 21, at 3 p.m. ET, another clash of the titans match will take place between 2022 World Cup finalists France and current leaders of Group D, the Netherlands. France scraped by a win against Austria thanks to a freak own goal and also got their star player, Mbappe, injured with a fractured nose in the process (he should still play against the Dutch). The Netherlands managed to steal all three points from Poland thanks to a late winner from the ex-Man United striker Weghorst, who came from the bench. Regardless of their current form, both of these giants will surely put on a show. You can catch this match on Fox, Fubo TV, ViX, and Vix Premium Deportes 1.

Switzerland vs. Germany

To tie off a weekend jam-packed with European action is Switzerland versus Germany, with the last match of the week on Sunday, June 23, at 3 p.m. ET. This will be the first match of the tournament, with an overlapping match happening at the same time (Scotland vs. Hungary), but all eyes will surely be on the current leaders of Group A. If they weren't before, the host nation of Germany is the clear favorite of the tournament now, after an amazing opening 5-1 display against Scotland that felt more like an exhibition match for the Germans. Switzerland also put on a strong first performance by beating Hungary 3-1. It'll be a surprise if the Swiss beat the Germans, but the A-Team Nati will surely make Germany work hard to get the three points. You can stream the last match of the week on Fox, Fubo TV, ViX, and Vix Premium Deportes 1.

How to Watch the Euro 2024 Matches in the US

The most anticipated international European tournament kicked off Friday, June 14, in Germany. Euro 2024 will run until July 14, and if you know where to look, you can catch all of the 51 matches (not "games") right here in the U.S.

How to watch Euro 2024 matches

Most of the games will be played on the FOX networks and Fox Sport 1 (FS1), and five matches will be played on Fubo. You have only one option if you want to catch all of the games with a single subscription: Fubo Pro. The subscription is $79.99 per month and gets you access to all of the relevant Fox channels. If you only want to watch some games, you can get a seven-day free trial.

If you want some other streaming subscriptions that include FOX and FS1 (but won't include the Fubo-only games), DirecTV Stream, Sling Blue, Vix Premium, and YouTube TV + Sports add-on all get you both FOX channels to catch the Euro matches.

DirecTV Stream is $79.99 per month. The YouTube TV Base Plan is $57.99 per month for the first three months. Sling Blue will run you $40 per month, and you can stream on three screens simultaneously. Vix Premium with ads starts at $4.99 per month and can also stream on three screens simultaneously; just be aware the matches will be narrated in Spanish.

If you're considering getting one of these subscriptions, remember that Copa America will be starting June 20 and running until July 14. Copa America will also be streamed on FOX and FS1 so you'll get to enjoy both tournaments.

How to Sign Up for Prime Day 'Invite-Only' Deals

Invite-Only deals started last year during Prime Day in an effort to give more people an equal chance to take advantage of the best deals Amazon has to offer. The program must've worked well for Amazon because they repeated it during Prime Big Deal Days later in October. While we don't have the official dates for Prime Day yet, we know it'll be sometime in mid-July. Knowing how to sign up for the Invite-Only deals will give you a fighting chance at taking advantage of these deals.

How to sign up for Prime Day Invite-Only deals

As Amazon explains, you must be a Prime Member to sign up for the Invite-Only deals. What you're doing is essentially requesting an invitation to the deal, which will come by email. Here are the steps from Amazon:

  1. Find an "Invite-Only Prime Deal" that you want to purchase. You can find the deals on the Deals page.

  2. Navigate to the product detail page.

  3. Select "Request Invite." If you are not a Prime member, sign up for Prime to be able to request an invite.

  4. You will receive an email notification confirming you requested an invite. The confirmation will be sent to the email that is on your Amazon account. If you don't have an email on your account, add one by navigating to Your Account > Login > Security.

Keep in mind that just because you requested an invitation doesn't mean you'll receive one. If you are selected, you'll receive a push notification and email during the sale. If you're not selected, Amazon will also let you know you didn't get one. You can only buy one of the products that you were invited for, but you can request as many different product invitations as you want. The invitation will last as long as Prime Day lasts (two days).

As you can see from our past coverage of Prime Day Invite-Only deals, they are impressive. In October, Amazon had a 43-inch 4K Smart Fire TV for $99. You'll likely see similar deals this year. Some other tips to shop smartly for Prime Day are to use Alexa to remind you about deals and use deal alerts to receive notifications related to your recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: The Yaber K2S Projector

When it comes to projectors, you can spend anywhere from the low hundreds to the high thousands, depending on portability, battery life, resolution, brightness, and overall use experience. A "budget" projector will usually run you about $600, and right now, one such projector—the Yaber K2S—is $369.95 (originally $599.95) after a $230 on-page coupon. It has some higher-tier features, though, and is well below its listing price, making it my favorite Amazon deal of the day.

I've had the Yaber K2S projector for some months now, and I've been surprised by how easy it is to set up and use. It has an auto-focus feature that finds the best focus depending on the distance to the screen. The operating system is Android TV, which feels like using a Roku TV. You have access to the Android app store with over 9,000 apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, and others. You can also easily tap any NFC device, like your phone, to stream media into the projector.

The K2S has a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution with 4K output support for eligible media. The brightness is not the best, with 800 ANSI, so it's better suited for nighttime or low-light rooms. Unless you plan on using it for a big crowd outdoors, the two 10W JBL speakers are sufficient for most activities. The image contrast of 2000:1 is impressive—I can see the shadows and dark images in scenes without trouble—but the image does lean a bit bluer than normal, so if you're a stickler for accurate color, beware.

For $369.95, this is a powerful projector with great features. You won't find other projectors at this price with its resolution and extra features.

Woot Is Selling Refurbished Fire TVs Starting at $60

You don't have to wait until Prime Day to get great deals on Amazon products. Today is Woot's 20th birthday, and as a subsidiary of Amazon, they get access to many Amazon products that Amazon wants to liquidate. Right now, Woot has a big sale on many of these Amazon products, including security cameras, tablets, smart speakers, smart TVs, and other devices that run until June 30.

To sweeten the deal, most of these products are eligible for an extra 20% off ($20 maximum discount) if they’re purchased during Woot's 20th birthday (before midnight Friday, June 14). If you're looking for smart TVs, the Fire TVs are particularly cheap. You can get a basic 32-inch starting at $59.99 up to a 4K UHD 55-inch for $269.99.

Keep in mind that refurbished products might come with signs of wear, but they were all serviced and given the thumbs-up to work properly. Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous states in the U.S. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping; otherwise, it’ll be $6 to ship.

The Amazon Fire TV 2-Series is the most basic TV and only goes up to 720p resolution, but it is still a smart TV with essentially a Fire Stick in it. And like any Fire TV, you can install Kodi to stream anything you can imagine for free. The 32-inch version is $59.99, and the 40-inch is $109.99.

The Amazon Fire TV 4-Series is a big improvement with 4K UHD resolution for not much more money than the 40-inch 2-Series. The 50-inch 4-Series is $189.99 and the 55-inch is $224.99. You'll get 3 HDMI inputs and an HDMI eARC input to connect a soundbar to it.

If you're looking for the best TV in the bunch, the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series is $269.99 for the 55-inch version. It has a more modern design than the 4-Series, with a thinner bezel, a more metallic design over plastic, and a better contrast ratio, which makes games and movies look better. It also has better brightness and a faster response time. For $45 more than the 4-Series, it's worth the upgrade. But if you won't be playing games and don't think you'll notice these differences, you might as well save yourself the money.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: This LG UltraWide Monitor

Ultrawide monitors can help you save space and (sometimes) money compared to having two separate monitors. The 29-inch LG UltraWide monitor can do both for the price of a single budget monitor. For a limited time, you can get this LG monitor for $166.99 (originally $249.99), the cheapest price it has been on Amazon according to price-checking tools.

This LG UltraWide monitor is considered a budget monitor, even at its full $249.99 listing price. This means that you won't get 4K resolution, smart features, or gaming monitor specs. What you do get is an IPS panel with a 2,560 by 1,080 resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10. While it isn't designed for gaming, it does have AMD Freesync and a 100 Hz refresh rate, so it can handle games better than your regular budget monitor.

The monitor is mountable in case you don't want to use the stand that it comes with. In terms of inputs, it has a display port, USB-C display port (which lets you connect any device to it with a single cable), HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The design is decent, and the white looks clean (that's what the "W" in the 29WQ600-W model number stands for). Keep in mind this monitor only tilts back and forth, with no height adjustment, swivel or pivot.

One of this monitor's nice features is that it can detect when a new input is plugged in or used and automatically switch to it. It also comes with integrated speakers, which isn't very common for speakers around this price point. An IPS panel means you'll get great colors, a wider viewing angle, and better visibility in sunny environments. However, the contrast ratio won't be as good as a VA panel and is susceptible to the classic backlight bleed that all IPS panels can get.

These Are the Best Last-Minute Father's Day Tech Deals at Amazon

It's not too late to get that last-minute Father's Day gift yet, especially if you have Amazon Prime (you can get a 30-day trial if you don't), but you are cutting it close. Amazon is having a Father's Day sale with many of its Amazon-owned tech products going up to 55% off, including smart TVs, tablets, smart speakers, Kindle readers, security cameras, and other devices. Here are some of the best deals from the sale.

All of these products will arrive before Sunday if you order them today, with many offering overnight, same day, or one-day shipping for Prime Members.

An Amazon Fire TV for $89.99

You don't have to be a father to appreciate a new $89.99 (originally $199.99) smart TV. The Fire TV 2-Series is not a fancy TV by any means, but it's a smart TV with essentially a Fire Stick in it that lets you stream some free live channels. My favorite thing about Fire TVs is that you can install Kodi on them and essentially watch anything for free. At 32-inches, it's a smaller TV that goes up to only 720p resolution. If you're looking for a fancier TV that will still arrive by Sunday, consider the refurbished Amazon Fire TV Omni Series for $350.99 (originally $499.99).

The Kindle Scribe is $100 off

The Kindle Scribe 16 GB with the Basic Pen is $239.99 (originally $339.99), down to its lowest price after a $100 discount, according to price-checking tools. The Scribe is great for people who like to read on their Kindles but want to take notes on the same device. You can read our review here to learn more about the device.

The Echo Dot with a smart bulb

The 5th generation Echo Dot from 2022 is the classic Alexa smart speaker. It strikes a good balance in price and sound compared to the other devices, and at $29.99, I think it's the best value for your money in terms of Alexa smart speakers. This bundle comes with a free Sengled smart bulb. You can also get the device in other colors.

The Blink Outdoor 4 at its lowest price

The Blink Outdoor 4 is a great outdoor security camera, especially for those getting started on their home security journey. At $59.99 (originally $99.99), it is the lowest price it has been, but the savings increase the more cameras you bundle together. If your home is large and there are multiple points you want to keep an eye on, the bundles are a great way to get multiple cameras and save some money. You can learn more about the Blink Outdoor 4 in our review.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Yeedi C12 PRO Plus

The robot vacuum industry is fierce, with companies quickly releasing new robot vacuums that surpass the competition in specs and price. Today, you have the choice of selecting all kinds of alternatives to "classic" iRobot vacuums, which are quickly falling behind the competition. The C12 PRO Plus is Yeedi's latest vacuum, and it's a great value for your money, currently sitting at $349 (originally $599) after a $150 on-page coupon.

The Yeedi C12 PRO Plus has a combination of features that you won't find in any robot vacuum under $350: a self-emptying dust bin that can last up to seven weeks before needing to empty it; 8,000 pascals of suction power, which is impressive for its price; a mop pad that scrubs the floor 480 times per minute with a downward force that can get some dry stains off the floor; smart mapping of your home; ability to set schedules; boosted suction on carpet; anti-tangle technology on the roller; and an up to five-hour battery capacity.

A handy feature of this robot vacuum is that you don't need to buy dust bags for it—you can empty out the debris very much like you would a stick vacuum (you press the release button and the debris drops from below). It's a simple, money-saving feature that makes you wonder why other companies don't do the same.

The vacuum's mop feature works well and is superior to the Roomba Combo j5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop I was previously using at home. The vacuuming also seems to pick up debris that my Roomba doesn't normally pick up. The setup with the app was painless and took about 10 minutes to complete. The mapping of my 1,300-square-foot home also took about 10 minutes, which is much faster than the Roomba.

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: The M2 Mac Mini

When you think of Apple computers, you probably imagine a MacBook (most people use their laptops as desktops, myself included), but there are still other options, even in 2024. The Mac Mini is a powerful and minimalistic desktop computer that will work well for most people (though you'll have to supply your own monitor, mouse, and keyboard).

Starting at $479 for the M2 chip Mac Mini, the machine is matching the lowest price it has ever hit on Amaon right now, according to price-checking tools.

The M2 Mac Mini desktop is available with an 8‑core CPU and 10‑core GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Not crazy specs by any means, but considering it is a 2023 Apple desktop for under $500, impressive enough. The M2 is still powerful in 2024, even with 8GB of RAM, and will have more than enough memory and power for most people. (If you plan to work with videos, audio, and demanding software, consider the M2 Pro with a 512GB SSD for $1,150 after the $49 on-page coupon. Otherwise, save your money.)

Speaking of money, keep in mind that you will need a couple of basic things to round out your desktop, including a monitor, keyboard, and mouse (none are included with the Mac Mini). I also think it's worth getting a hub, like this Satechi Mac Mini Hub, that fits perfectly under the machine, and an external SSD, like this SanDisk Extreme, to give yourself more storage.

I find Apple's mouse and keyboard options to be overpriced and underperforming. You can get a Cherry keyboard for less than $100, or any choose any of our sister site PCMag's picks best keyboards of 2024. The same goes for a mouse; the Logitech M750 is currently $32.99 and will work well. (Read more about your mouse options from PCMag here.)

When it comes to monitors, Apple's are actually great , if you can afford them. But if you're looking for a deal, this Dell 27 Monitor S2725H is $20 off and comes with a $75 Dell e-gift card. (See more monitor options from PCMag here.)

My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Beats Solo 4

The Beats Solo 4 just came out just over a month ago, but they continue to get marked down with significant discounts. The headphones originally dropped to $149.95, but now you can get the Beats Solo 4 for $129.95 (originally $199.95) after a 35% discount. This is the lowest price they've been since their release, according to price-checking tools. This is why it's my favorite Amazon deal of the day.

Beats by Dre, which is owned by Apple, did some upgrades to the fourth model of their popular Solo headphone series—mainly, having the ability to talk to Siri without using your hands. But they also added personalized spatial audio to your ear shape, giving you "3D audio" that follows the movement of your iPhone (as long as that media supports spatial audio), as well as extending the battery life to an impressive 50 hours of run time.

The headphones are on-ear headphones (as opposed to over-ear headphones, which are bigger and cup around your ears), and they lack Active Noise Cancellation and an adjustable EQ option on its app. I like that they still give you the option to plug in a stereo 3.5-mm cable in case you don't want to be wireless. The sound is just as good as you'd expect from Beats headphones: a well-balanced sound with powerful bass and highs.

If you don't have an Apple device, you'll miss out on a few features, like the Siri integration, and they lack an Android-friendly codec. The flip side of that is Apple users get great value from these headphones, with AAC and SBC codecs, one-touch pairing with most Apple devices, automatic pairing with devices using iCloud across the Apple ecosystem, audio sharing, and simultaneous connection with certain Apple products (like your iPhone and Apple Watch) according to PCMag's "good" review.

Almost every Beats headphone is also seeing some good discounts at the moment. Check out these other deals:

The 5th Generation iPad Air Is $200 Off Right Now

Apple released a new iPad Pro and iPad Air, among other products and announcements, during its May 7 "Let Loose" event. As is normally the case when newer versions are released, the older ones have gone down in price. Best Buy also happens to be having an Apple Sales Event right now, which includes the 5th generation 64GB iPad Air for $399.99 (originally $599) and the 256GB version for $549.99 (originally $749.99). Best Buy hit these prices earlier this month for just three days, but now they're back to their lowest prices for another round.

This iPad Air is the thinnest—and still one of the best—tablets Apple has to offer right now. This wifi-enabled iPad Air, which PCMag said is "outstanding," was released in 2022. It comes with an M1 system-on-a-chip (SoC), a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, a 12MP front and back camera, as well as Touch ID through the tablet’s power button. It's just a tenth of an inch thinner than the iPad Mini (and matching the 6th generation in thickness) but about twice as heavy as the Mini. Unlike previous iPad Airs, this one offers many of the same features as the 2021 iPad Pro, like the M1 processor and second-generation Apple Pencil support. The iPad Air does fall short compared to the Pro lineup when it comes to the camera, audio, and graphics, but considering it is almost half the price, it may be worth the tradeoff.

These other iPads are also discounted on Amazon right now:
